Account Manager Horticultural Projects

How does your job as Account Manager at Rijk Zwaan look like?
As Accountant Manager within the Horticultural projects team you fulfill an essential role in servicing (international) clients in setting up new high-tech greenhouse projects. Together with another Account Manager you will be the first point of contact for new entrants in the horticultural sector. Additionally, you are responsible for:
  • Identifying new markets and approaching potential clients
  • Analyzing and formulating new product requirements and translating these into new product development tools/business models
  • Developing additional services to enable clients to get the best results out of our products
  • Initiating and contributing to new projects, regarding new business development, digital services and creating demand and customer interest for the final product
  • Maintaining relationships among horticultural suppliers at all levels; management, tactical and operational level
Your contribution:
You are reliable, pro-active, tenacious and have a clear focus on the customer. You are a dedicated team player and able to create networks and maintain business relationships in an international environment. Your good commercial skills, strong communicative and negotiating skills and entrepreneurial drive are essential for this job. You’d like to initiate and take responsibility organize and take a leading role in client-management teams and you have solid business and financial skills. In view of the international nature of this role, you are willing to travel regularly for your work (around 10 weeks a year). In addition, we can find the following on your resume:
  • A master degree, preferably in the area of Agriculture
  • At least 5 years of relevant business experience in horticulture
  • Adequate product and market knowledge of the global horticultural industry
  • Excellent command of English
