Account Manager Vegetable Seeds (Thailand)

How does your job as Account Manager at Rijk Zwaan look like?
As Account Manager for Thailand you are responsible for defining the key account strategy in Thailand in consultation with our regional manager and distributor. You fulfill an essential role for all account related tasks including the sales results and you link the key accounts to all relevant specialists within Rijk Zwaan globally. Additionally, you are responsible for:
  • Creating strong relationships with key accounts in your area, through relationship building, combined with accurate vegetable cultivation advice, where necessary consulting crop specialists
  • Maintaining and intensifying contacts with the key accounts (big, professional vegetable growers who link directly with partners (like supermarkets) in the chain)
  • Working on tailor-made solutions of full packages of products and services in order to reach account satisfaction
  • Advising on deals and lead time for specific varieties in agreement with the crop team and distributor
  • Establishing and facilitating client plans in collaboration with local and international partners and team members
  • Updating the sales forecast by variety to assist with seed production planning
  • Reporting on commercial opportunities and competitor activity in Thailand
  • Maintaining customer records and actively plan the key account strategy by using CRM
Your contribution:
You are a good organizer with an active and practical approach towards solving problems and persevering. Due to your interpersonal sensitivity, open personality, good communication skills, trustworthiness and sensitivity to good advice you are able to manage projects. Besides, you entail good networking and negotiation skills within a framework of high business ethics in which honesty and loyalty are valued. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and an acceptable level of English, verbally and written. In addition, we can find the following on your resume:
  • A completed bachelor degree in the field of Agriculture or Business
  • Experience in the vegetable market in Thailand, either as grower/owner of a big company or as account manager in an international company linking with the grower. Having relevant, sound crop knowledge is an advantage
  • At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience in sales and account management

This team develops an integrated crop and account strategy for the region and is well connected with relevant specialists in the global Rijk Zwaan organisation. We are actively breeding new vegetable varieties for South East Asia in several crops and focus particularly on the protected crops and hydroponic markets. New varieties from the Rijk Zwaan breeding programs are marketed in Thailand through our well established commercial partners.
