Breeding Product Coordinator

What will your job as Breeding Product Coordinator at Rijk Zwaan entail?
As Breeding Product Coordinator at Rijk Zwaan you will be the key person between the breeding department and the teams responsible for introducing, producing and selling our vegetable varieties. You will gather and analyse results of international breeding trials and seed production. You will then interpret the breeding data for the other relevant departments in the organisation. In short, you will be the link between breeding and commerce.
Your duties will comprise:
  • Coordinating the registration, production and introduction of new varieties
  • Visiting and jointly assessing trials of varieties, both in the Netherlands and abroad
  • Taking part in discussions to determine the right strategy for the introduction of new varieties and ensure a smooth transfer of the new varieties
What you will bring to the job
You have a strong affinity with horticulture and research and combine a market focus with good coordinating and organisational qualities. You enjoy working with others, like dealing with an international community and have good communication skills. You enjoy frequent travel abroad.
We would also expect to see the following on your CV:
  • A higher vocational qualification
  • Experience of writing reports and giving presentations
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Some experience of product development
What can you expect from us?
As Breeding Product Coordinator you will be part of our Terra breeding department. The department consists of 36 colleagues engaged in developing a number of open-field vegetable varieties such as spinach, leek, endive and red beet.
