How does your job as Chain Manager at Rijk Zwaan India look like?
As Chain Manager within the Sales Department you are responsible for building relationships with chain partners such as major retail companies, trading companies, food processors and large growers. Moreover, you fulfil an essential role in carrying out market research, following complex market dynamics and developments, and initiating new business developments. You share knowledge and work closely together with other chain managers, crop specialists and product development specialists in various countries related to chain activities, product assortment and local support. Also, you participate at major (inter)national exhibitions and attend seminars based on business needs. Finally, you will be responsible for some key accounts. This entails the following:
- Developing trustworthy relationships with the key accounts
- Acquiring a thorough understanding of the needs and requirements of the key accounts
- Proposing solutions that meet the objectives of the key accounts
- Serving as contact person between the key accounts and the international crop and client team of Rijk Zwaan
You are a strong communicator with a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm. As proactive collaborator you are resourceful and you take the initiative to develop new business concepts. With your commercial insight, social skills and team mentality you can establish and strongly maintain relationships in diverse cultures. Given the nature of this position, you are open to travel nationally and internationally. In addition, we can find the following on your resume:
- A completed master degree, in the field of Agriculture
- A completed MBA degree
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge of and experience with commercial (producer/buyer) dynamics
- Knowledge of and experience with operating in an international environment

As Chain Manager you will be part of the Sales Department of Rijk Zwaan India. The Sales Department consists of 23 colleagues who build relationships and initiate new business developments to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success in India.
