Internship: Improving taste in radish

Are you interested in breeding and looking for an informative internship? If you want to be part of one of our prebreeding departments, apply for this internship at our location in Fijnaart.
How does a typical working day look like?
During this internship you will work on a literature study in which you optionally also experience the practical side of radish breeding. The following questions are guiding your literature research: which components are decisive for the taste of radish? Do these components have other physiological or protective functions in the plant, in addition to taste perception? And how can breeding be as effective as possible with respect to taste? The internship is suitable for a bachelor or master thesis study as well as a cooperative internship in which you study literature, and can be written in Dutch or English.

Your contribution…
You have analytical skills and can easily distinguish essentials from side issues. In addition, you are organized and able to work independently.

In addition we can find the following on your CV:
  • Currently following a bachelor or master, preferably in the work field of Plant Sciences or Biology
  • Full-time availability of at least 8 weeks (period is in consultation)
