Internship Pepper post-harvest quality traits

How does a typical working day look like?
This internship is part of the pepper program. You will be involved in phenotyping fruits for post-harvest quality traits related to texture and shelf-life. Although guidance will be given from the pre-breeding team, this project has a strong and practical link to breeding. A thorough literature study will be required as well as data collection and analyses accordingly. Ultimately, you will be expected to provide our pepper breeder with practical conclusions about these traits in the breeding material of Rijk Zwaan.
Your contribution
You are enthusiastic, creative and motivated to follow-up on interesting research findings. Moreover, you have good communication skills and you are able to work well with various involved project members. You are a teamplayer but you are also able to work independently.
In addition we can find the following on your CV
  • Currently following a MSc program in plant science, horticulture or plant breeding
  • Full-time availability (32 – 36 hours a week) of 4 months, starting in March 2019
