Sales Traineeship (Moscow)

How does your job as Sales Trainee at Rijk Zwaan look like?

At Rijk Zwaan we are looking for ambitious, proactive people in the early stage of their career who are keen to develop as sales expert. The content will give you a thorough knowledge of Rijk Zwaan and the various disciplines in our breeding company. After you have completed the first three years in the job, depending on your development and experience, you will then move to the next sales job. We will look particularly at what you are good at and how you can provide the greatest added value for Rijk Zwaan.

Within your first role as sales representative, high tech greenhouses, you are responsible for the sales of our varieties and driving the product developers to develop new possibilities. We are looking for an ambitious person who is motivated to help our customers improve their crops and getting the best results with seeds and services. You are able to connect with the growers in Russia and understand their needs. You are sales driven and share a passion for plants and (developing) a thorough knowledge of the complete assortment is essential. Next to maintaining the existing market share, you develop new opportunities by planting and assessing trials. New varieties are provided by the breeding departments of Rijk Zwaan. By using your knowledge of the crops, you show the growers the added value of the Rijk Zwaan varieties.

Additionally, you are responsible for:

  • A specific client group;
  • Commercial & technical support to customers, partners and colleagues;
  • Participation in international sales and product meetings.

Your contribution:

You are convincing in your communication, customer-focused and have a hands-on commercial mindset. Furthermore, you have project management skills and a strong passion for agriculture. You enjoy working with clients. Good social skills, a team mentality and the ability to establish and develop contacts and relations in diverse cultures are indispensable qualities. You also keep track of the latest developments in the horticultural industry. In view of the international nature of this role you are willing to travel frequently (within Russia and internationally). Furthermore, you have a high degree of motivation and you have the capability to become part of the international RZ team. 

In addition, we can find the following on your resume:

  • At least a completed Bachelor degree, preferably in the field of agriculture / horticulture;
  • At least two years relevant work experience;
  • In addition to your studies you have shown organisational talent, you have already seen something of the world and your activities demonstrate that you are not afraid to discover new things;
  • You have a good command of written and spoken Russian and English.
