TechnoHouse on(line) Tour | Digital Services
- 11 February 2021
Are you interested in applying software development and data analytics techniques to build customer relationships in horticulture? If so, register now!

At Rijk Zwaan, we are continuously looking for not only new and improved vegetable varieties, but also optimal growing conditions. This enables us to continue to offer our customers – from growers to retailers – vegetables with the desired traits. After the successful first edition of TechnoHouse on(line) Tour in October, we are now continuing our online series with this second edition: ‘Digital Services’.
Digital transformation to optimise services
In a growing market and increasingly digital world, it is becoming ever-more important to gather data. But data is only useful if it can be converted into relevant insights about customer behaviour or the performance of business processes, for instance. At Rijk Zwaan we thrive on complex challenges and love experimenting with and applying new technologies such as design thinking, modern architecture and smart tooling. As a result, our partners can rely on the newest digital services to help them get the very best out of our vegetable seeds. Whether in research, breeding, production, supply or sales, technology supports our company in providing relevant and personal services to our partners and customers worldwide.
Sharing TechKnow, pitch your idea to our experts!
This online event features a roundtable discussion with three experts, live from our Research & Breeding greenhouse in Fijnaart (NL). The experts firstly explain more about their work and research focus in a short video, before discussing the subject in more depth under the guidance of host Adine Tjeenk Willink. In the second part of the program, ‘Sharing TechKnow’, we will give the (online) stage to three participants who will have the opportunity to pitch their digital services-related knowledge or idea to the experts! Are you interested to share your knowledge, contribute to the discussion and get feedback from the experts? Please subscribe to TechnoHouse on(line) Tour and explain your pitch on the registration form.

Edition 3 | 27 May 2021 | Sensor Data for Growing Decisions
Data is everywhere, and our industry is no exception with the rise of ‘smart horticulture’. The data collected by sensors can be used to minimise the use of resources such as water and soil, and maximise plant yields. How far does the technology go?
