What does your job as IT Support Engineer at Rijk Zwaan look like?

As an IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for the support of our colleagues working and traveling in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Our IT infrastructure is connected and highly integrated with the global ICT infrastructure of the Rijk Zwaan Group. You will work closely together with our international team and especially with our colleagues in China, Australia, and The Netherlands. It is important that you are capable to find the right balance in being self-supporting and ensuring smooth implementation and compliance with the central ICT solutions and policies of Rijk Zwaan.

Additionally you will be responsible for:

• support and maintenance of ICT facilities for end users such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones;
• maintenance and implementation of ICT infrastructure which includes servers, network, phone, entrance and security equipment;
• training and assistance to colleagues in (smart) use of applications like MS Office, CRM, ERP and reporting tools;
• solving issues with equipment and applications;
• collaboration with IT Support Engineers of Australia and China to support the Asia Pacific (APAC) region;
• participation in international IT projects and activities;
• management of local (ICT) suppliers.

Your contribution:

You are good at analyzing procedures and like to optimize processes to help colleagues in working more efficient. You are enthusiastic about IT and security topics and have a strong desire to improve security. You are able to work on your own and enjoy being part of the team. You have good communication skills and you are willing to learn new things.You are interested in virtualization and have a general understanding of it and its implementation in business. Because of an international environment you speak fluent English and eager to travel to Europe and Asia Pacific region. 

Additionally we can find in your cv:

• Bachelor or equivalent in the area of Computer Engineering;
• 2 years of experience in a similar role;
• broad ICT knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Server, Office, and other vendors' business applications;
• a good level of knowledge in TCP/IP networking in a LAN / WAN environment;
• knowledge of IT equipment and mobile device management solutions for smart phones and tablets.
