Your job at Rijk Zwaan

As an International Pricing Specialist, you develop and manage the pricing of our vegetable varieties across global markets. You work with a broad portfolio of more than thousand varieties across multiple crops with dozens of new varieties introduced each year. You operate at the intersection of market dynamics, customer strategy and product value, working closely with international colleagues across regions and functions. Your main responsibilities are: 

  • Develop, refine and align our global pricing policy with market developments and customer strategies 
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries worldwide to understand local needs and translate them into effective pricing approaches 
  • Quantify the added value of our varieties to determine optimal pricing levels 
  • Strengthen data-driven decision-making by structuring and improving pricing processes 
  • Represent Pricing in multidisciplinary projects 
  • Share pricing knowledge and insights across the organization 

Where will you be working?

Rijk Zwaan is an international family-owned company with a people-oriented culture. Rijk Zwaan is at the beginning of the food chain. We develop vegetable and fruit varieties and sell the seeds to growers and other chain partners all over the world. We make an important contribution to the world food supply. You will be working as part of our Pricing team, based at our headquarters in The Netherlands. The team consists of 7 colleagues and offers a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment with constantly new challenges. 

Your contribution

You combine strong analytical capabilities with business insight and clear communication. You are able to translate data into clear pricing recommendations and align stakeholders across different regions and functions. Moreover, you are eager to learn more about the crops you work with and are willing to make occasional visits to our international subsidiaries. In addition, we can find the following on your resume:  

  • A completed relevant university degree (for example in the field of Business Administration, Engineering or Finance)
  • At least three years of relevant experience 
  • Good command of English, Dutch is preferred
