🌱 Your Role at Rijk Zwaan

As Breeding Manager, you will be responsible for the global strategy and direction of our cucurbit breeding programs. You will co-lead the department alongside another Breeding Manager, fostering a collaborative and people-focused culture. Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing the global portfolio of breeding and pre-breeding projects
• Promoting the adoption of innovative breeding techniques
• Visiting international breeding teams and R&D directors
• Staying informed on developments in intellectual property (IP)
• Collaborating across departments to align goals and resources

💬 What You Bring

We’re looking for a strategic leader with a passion for people development and innovation. You are structured, communicative, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. You bring:

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Plant Sciences
• At least 5 years of experience in plant breeding or breeding research
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Excellent command of English and Spanish
• Willingness to travel regularly
• Intercultural sensitivity and organizational acumen
