Your job at Rijk Zwaan
As Station Manager, you will share leadership of the teams at Rijk Zwaan’s Demos Station in Parramos, Chimaltenango, ensuring that processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company policies. You will work in a dynamic environment, leading a dedicated team and collaborating with commercial departments.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing part of the teams, contributing to a healthy and productive work environment
- Monitoring, evaluating and, if necessary, adjusting the standard work processes
- Implementing and optimizing internal procedures, promoting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the station; preparation of the field, sowing, transplanting, nutrition, pest and disease control, crop management, general maintenance of the field and rotation of the crops
- Ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Participating in the recruitment procedure of new team members
- Maintaining active communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Keeping close contact with the direct Manager and inform on a regular basis on important developments in the station.
Your contribution
- Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related fields.
- Experience in team leadership.
- A proactive, hands-on profile with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Strong organizational, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of English.
- Ability to build long-term relationships and work in a multicultural environment.

Where will you be working?
You will become part of our Commercial team at our Demo Station in Parramos (8 people), Chimaltenango.
Rijk Zwaan Guatemala was founded in 2010, with its administrative office based in Guatemala City. It also operates two experimental fields: one in the Parramos, Chimaltenango and another in Rio Hondo, Zacapa. Even before its official establishment, we already had partners working to develop our products — in other words, Rijk Zwaan seeds have been present in Guatemala for over 20 years.
