Your job at Rijk Zwaan 

 

We are expanding our team at Rijk Zwaan Korea! 

As a Trial Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing a pre-commercial trials network across Korea. Ideally based in Gwangmyeong City, Korea, you will collaborate closely with other colleagues from the local commercial team, breeders from Rijk Zwaan Netherlands and distributors to ensure smooth trial execution and strong communication with crop teams and breeding departments. 

You’ll stay in close contact with international Rijk Zwaan colleagues to follow innovations and developments in our varieties, especially in key crops like tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, and peppers. 

Additionally, you will be responsible for: 

  • Planning, support and assistance in realization, visiting and monitoring trials in the region 
  • Recruiting and training assistance at trial locations for sowing, transplanting, recording, and harvesting 
  • Reporting trial results to the breeding department and crop team 
  • Identifying promising varieties with crop teams  
  • Coordinating with international breeding trials  
  • Organizing seminars, open days, and presentations for distributors and growers  
  • Integrating market insights into breeding strategies  
  • Reporting trial results to the breeding department and crop team. 

This is a dynamic, field-oriented role with regional travel around 50% of working time and strong cross-functional collaboration. 

Your Contribution

 

You are energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills. You work independently while enjoying teamwork and collaboration. With a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, you build strong relationships with growers and distributors, and you’re confident in presenting and connecting with people. 

You are open to learning, and eager to implement new tools and approaches. Your positive attitude and problem-solving skills help you thrive in a dynamic environment with extensive fieldwork. 

You live in Gwangmyeong City or close by. You’re willing to travel frequently across Korea and occasionally out of that area. 

Moreover, we can find the following in your cv: 

  • A completed Bachelor’s or University degree in Horticulture or Agriculture 
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with vegetable varieties 
  • Strong knowledge of growing and assessing vegetable varieties
