Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Assistant | Full-time

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for an all-rounder with a passion for maintaining our brand-new facility to a high standard.

Your role at Rijk Zwaan


In this diverse role, you will work closely with our team to provide maintenance and operational support in all aspects of our facilities, grounds, vehicles and equipment. 

  • Grounds upkeep, mowing, brush cutting and maintaining garden beds.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance requests and arrange repairs in collaboration with the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Undertake scheduled facilities and operational maintenance tasks to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor servicing and repairs of shared company vehicles, tractors and electric trolleys
  • Hydroponic system
    • Filling of tanks, mixing of fertiliser and scheduled maintenance of the climate control systems.
    • Provide backup for climate and hydroponic control.
    • Coordinate weekend water duty
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of resources, supplies and greenhouse clothing.
  • Manage kitchen supplies/food and ensure cleanliness of area.

  • Trade qualified or experience in a similar role
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Eager to learn new skills and grow
  • Motivated self-starter, who can use initiative as well as take direction
  • Able to work safely and follow safety procedures
  • Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) is preferred or willing to obtain
