Sales Representative, Egypt

Your Job at Rijk Zwaan 

In this role, the primary responsibilities include driving sales of our vegetable varieties and supporting product developers in identifying and developing new market opportunities. 
The region includes both indoor and open-field production systems. Key crops in the area include pepper, cucumber, green beans, squash, eggplant, watermelon, and melon.

As Sales Representative you are responsible for the eastern part of Egypt (Ismailia & Sharkia). 

You maintain good and long-term relationship with the existing clients as well as attracting new clients. You help the clients with agronomic advice, and you demonstrate new products via trials and field days. 

New varieties will be provided by the product developers of Rijk Zwaan, and you can help in getting solid information to drive the product development. You analyze market trends and customers' needs to update the sales strategy. You work with a professional CRM system and accurately forecast the sales results.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• keeping close contacts with customers, constantly searching for optimal ways of cooperation;
• giving accurate vegetable cultivation advice, where necessary reaching out to colleagues for assistance; 
• searching for new customers;
• actively participating in marketing and trial planning;
• preparing proposals for the long-term development of turnover and for crops.

Your Contribution

As a Sales Representative, you are driven to help growers improve their crops and expand market share. You have a passion for plants and a desire to learn. Mastering our product range and having technical crop knowledge, along with developing strong client relationships, is key to showcasing Rijk Zwaan's value. You preferably have working experience within international agricultural companies. You possess a commercial mindset, strong sales skills, and enthusiasm for the horticultural industry, staying updated on its latest developments. 

You enjoy challenges, proactively suggest crop improvements, and work well in a team. You are an independent, proactive and honest person with the strong ethical principles.

Additionally, we can find in your cv:

• you live in the eastern part of Egypt;
• a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or horticulture;
• at least 7 years of relevant experience;
• good command of speaking and writing English.
