The Product Development Specialist is responsible for developing Rijk Zwaan seed business in the Desert (Southwest) Region. Within this role, you are responsible for organizing and following variety trials in consultation with Rijk Zwaan staff, distributors, growers and cooperating companies with a focus on vegetables. In addition, you are also responsible for the introduction and sales of the total Rijk Zwaan open field product development activities for all outdoor varieties in the Southwestern USA. This position will cover Southern California, Central and Southwestern Arizona.
Your Contribution.
We are seeking a Product Development Specialist with the following criteria:
- BS, or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
- 5 Years Experience in agriculture, seed business or production is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interest in Ag industry
- Ability to develop good long-term industry relationships
- Team-oriented
- Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of regular job duties.
